From somewhere to Somewhere Else…

Back in the Summer of 2015…

Kate and Sam dreamed of owning their own little something, a business which they could be proud of, which people would be proud to visit and in which a team would be proud to work.
They found an ideal home for a Coffee Shop in a Grade II listed building, double fronted, just off the main Square in the centre of the most beautiful market town of Shrewsbury, it ticked all of our boxes when they were seeking their first step into the Coffee industry,

The inspiration for the ethos of “Ginger and Co” stemmed from their two amazing Nans [Nanny Freda & Nanna Gwilliam], who made them feel at home as soon as anyone stepped through their front door.
This is now the essence of Ginger & Co [along with a passion for well prepared drinks, tasty food and homemade cake]. For 5 years they brought this to their beloved Shrewsbury as Ginger & Co. Coffee. People visited, told other people and they gained quite a following. The Coffee Shop covered 34 seats and was often full and bursting at the seams.

While Kate and Sam move on the their next chapter, the story of Ginger and Co continues with three of the staff Mel, Cat and Martina who are taking over the reigns of this gem in Shrewsbury Market Square and seamlessly continue with the ethos of serving great Coffee and delicious food in a warm and welcoming shop which Nanny Freda & Nanna Gwilliam would have been proud of.
